A short drive away from Midland and Odessa, the Retreat makes a perfect weekend getaway for our west Texas neighbors. Visitors traveling the Texas Pecos Trail will find us a welcome alternative to standard accommodations. Those using the Midland International Airport will find the Barr Ranch an ideal overnight destination on their way to the Big Bend and Trans Pecos area.

Visitors are able to enjoy bird watching and wildflower viewing from the comfort of their back porch. Wildlife can be seen watering at the pond in the early morning or late evening. Hiking, mountain biking, photography and stargazing opportunities are available for the more adventuresome guests.
